The Windsor Golf Club and Country Hotel is very near my home and I always thought it was a members-only club but a friend mentioned he takes his kids swimming there and he’s not a member so I thought I’d give it a go too. I have always liked going to this place. As the name suggests it does bring to mind all things England! The pool was heated (30degrees) and I’m thinking to myself, ‘That’s like bath water!’

The kids took to the water like fish (!!) and stayed there for almost 3 hours. I just chilled out on one of the sunbeds and tried to read a book but gave up eventually to play Draughts on my phone. I think i may have taken a quick nap but am not too sure because I was in total slow motion. I actually enjoyed my day and have resolved to go here more often with the kids.

And maybe one day i’ll be able to afford the posh country club fee that looks like a telephone number when you write down all the digits and indulge in learning to play golf….
