Despicable Me

So here’s the deal… Gru (guy with the dodgy nose and funky mode of transport) wants to steal the moon and become the greatest ever villain on Earth. Stealing the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty miniatures from Vegas don’t really count as villainous deeds so it’s got to be the moon. It just boils down to pleasing his Mum because he never seems to have her approval since childhood. Issues, I tell you.

Then Vector the Mathematician turns up at the villain bank to get a bank loan too. It so happens that he’s more hip and happening than Gru because he managed to steal a pyramid from Egypt. Enter three orphan girls who Gru adopts to steal an important piece of machinery (if I may call it that) from Vector to shrink the moon and take over the world or something.

Suddenly Gru isn’t villainous any more. He fits into Daddy mode and even the millions of minions who follow him everywhere seem to be softening. By the way, I loved these minions. They were really funny.

In a nutshell you will enjoy this movie. I enjoyed some one liners and loved the Gru-Ray Music. It’s a waste if I’m going to have to explain it! I’d give this movie three and a half stars out of five.

Go watch it – you’ll enjoy it.
