Meet Rishna Gudhka

Please give a small bio of yourself. Describe yourself.

My name is Rishna Gudhka. I am in my late 20s. I am a creative and marketing personnel by professional however accidentally I found a passion which existed within myself. I am the founder of Wiggles and Giggles Edutainment Centre where we nurture #LittleHumans from the ages of 6 months to 3 years directly. I am an edupreneur who is very passionate about my work and the #FosteringofLittleHumans. I strongly believe that every child has the right to education regardless of the resources available and this drives me to look forward to a new day with new goals to achieve. During my journey I upgraded myself with many courses that would benefit my learners and help me cater for a wide range of learners too like speech therapy, Jolly Phonics and Grammar trainings, curriculum development, parental coaching amongst others. The centre does cater for a wide variety of age groups through our creativity stimulation and stress-buster classes through creative outlets.
We are active on Facebook and Instagram. Follow us on @wigglesandgiggleske.

During the corona pandemic I also birthed a Facebook community with my partner Art Shah, who is in based in Australia and Kenyan by heart. This is a community we formed to support families with young ones on how to keep them busy using the resources available locally in Kenya. It has grown to an International Community as we have members from all over the world now!

Until March 2020 I felt that Early Childhood Facilitators were looked upon as teaching nannies who would play and look after them however I can see and feel a positive vibe now as we are not just teaching-nannies and do much more than that. The tasks and responsibilities of an early years facilitator are much more sensitive and require investments. An early years teacher would be expected to give a detailed report of every #LittleHuman, to their primary-care giver generally  a parent, on how their day was, what they ate, how the potty-training is going, what we learnt in class together with some photos and videos not forgetting to change the soiled diapers and clothes, make sure all the other #LittleHumans are equally comfortable and ensure targets set for the day have been achieved by delivering the most creative lessons which take up hours of preparation from the previous day which no other teachers from higher stages do.

My hobbies include but are not limited to travelling, reading and painting.

My gut says that I am being showered with success by dad who is always watching and guiding me from heaven. It was a very expensive loss to our entire family however came with its own blessings as I started my edupreneur journey and haven’t had to look back even once.

I also appreciate all the efforts put in by my team members and always backing me up to reach achieve this success. Lots of gratitude to all the families who trust us, appreciate our efforts and bring their #LittleHumans to us.
