Baked Beans & Sausage – Indian Style

Baked Beans and Sausages with a difference...

This is a quick and easy recipe, very filling and goes will with roti, bread, ugali or even naan.


  • 1 can baked beans in tomato sauce
  • 6 sausages (beef/chicken/pork) cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • chopped coarriander
  • salt – to taste
  • red chilli powder – to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil


Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and add onions as soon as the seeds start sizzling. Sautee the onion and add the tomatoes, ginger, garlic, salt, chillies and mix well. Add the sausages and cook well on medium heat. When sausages are cooked add the can of beans and mix well and allow to cook another 2 minutes. Garnish with corriander.

You may add things like sweet corn, mushrooms, soya chunks or even veggie sausages that are available in the market these days.

Your Indian style Beans and Sausages are ready to be served within minutes and are seriously yummy.
