The Internet is a wonderful place. You can create an identity for yourself and live out a life of fantasy if you like. You can be whoever you want to be, though in some cases that might border on identity theft but I digress! What I’m trying to get at is that harmless fun and fantasies never hurt anyone as long as you know where to draw the line.

Then there are those who decide that hiding behind a false ID on the Net will let them do and say whatever they want. They create accounts on social media for the sole purpose of abusing or putting people down. The only social exchanges they have are actually anti-social behavior. Sites like Facebook and Twitter may boast of millions of account holders but we know that there are also so many fake accounts created in multiples for the purpose of stalking, abusing, demeaning and playing stupid mind games.

Being on the receiving end is not funny at all. From abuse to threats, intimidation to most things in between, I’ve experienced. I’ll be minding my own business, doing my own thing when once in a blue moon someone will rock up and start giving e nonsense. The worst are the people who think they can hide behind a fake ID and start abusing me.

It is said when you’re being bullied like that, chances are that the person knows you and doesn’t like something about you. Or they are terribly jealous and resentful of something you might have going in your life and they don’t, and sometimes the only way such sad and pathetic people can let you know they’re upset is by creating false IDs and indulging in various forms of bullying and abusing.

Unless you really know what you’re doing, chances are you will slip up. There is no way you can really hide on the internet and get away with abusing someone. There are ways to trace and find out and technology is advancing so fast that every other second there is a new development to counter such nonsense.

What I don’t understand is the need to hide and be abusive. Clearly you have some issues that a psychologist would have a field day with. If you have the guts to abuse and put down someone, why not have the guts to stand up and have a backbone and be responsible for your own words? If you have an opinion why can’t you say it out aloud? Is it because deep down you know you’re nothing but a hater and have so much vitriol that you know what you are doing is completely wrong?

If you have a false ID for doing some good, then continue doing it.  If you have a false ID just to spread your brand of stupidity then just get a life. You’re nothing but a loser if you have to stoop to abusing other people just because you don’t have the guts to speak up. Either grow a pair and get on with it or just get some help to control your awkward multiple personality syndrome because people like you are nothing more than a burden on the face of this earth.
