I’ve gone through this umpteen times. I have no idea why I can’t learn from this mistake. Why can’t I just realise that I am not cut out to be colouring my hair at home and that I should engage the services of a professional colourist?
It was a boring and lonely Saturday night at home so I did my nails and sat back waiting for my favourite show to start on TV. I looked at the clock on the wall and it silently announced that I still had a good two and a half hours to kill before my show started so I rummaged through my bathroom and came across a hair colour which I thought would look nice on me. It was a Light Golden Brown which I have used before with successful results so I didn’t think twice about it when I started applying it on my head.
I left it on for the obligatory time stated on the leaflet enclosed and washed it out. On wet hair it didn’t look too bad after the wash though deep down I did think it looked a little bit too light.
Sometimes when I wash my hair, I don’t use a hair-dryer to dry it out. I just let it set ‘au natural’ and let the curly frizzy locks reign my head. This was no exception. I put on my hair products to ease the frizz and went off to bed.
With half open eyes I stumbled out of bed this morning and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get dressed for work and I SHRIEKED like mad! My hair had turned orange!! AARRGGHHHHH!!!!
I had no choice but to pull on a cap and go off to work. There was no way I was going to allow anyone to see the damage until I wasn’t used to it. Anyway, after work I went back to the supermarket and picked up a darker shade of hair dye and will sort my hair out later this evening.
Wish me luck…!
Here’s my picture with the orange hair. Go on. have a good laugh.

This was hilarious, although yours didn’t look so bad. Mine had turned Green. Like slime. It was so embarassing, I stayed with the color for a week and a half. Hahahaha๐๐๐๐
