This is a chutney that has been on the dining table with almost every meal for many years. I also use this as a substitute for mayonnaise, especially in a delicious potato salad. The ingredients are ridiculously simple and readily available and do try and experiment with ingredients to give it your own touch. This recipe posting has been inspired by Abdul Rahim.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 cup thick yoghurt
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- salt to taste
- chopped corriander
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds, crushed (optional)
- 1 green chilli, ground/chopped (optional)
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients and if you find your mixture is too thick then just add a little bit of milk to thin it out a bit.
Goes really well with just about ANYTHING! Try it with foods you wouldn’t think of drizzling it over and give each bite of your food a taste explosion.
izzat afzai ka shukriya- will defo try it out
