I was done with the ‘Happy New Year’ greetings way before Noon today. I get really saturated because I’m one of those who thinks the 1st of January is just another day on the calendar. People look at it as a day of hope and new beginnings and what not but why don’t people realise you are given that chance each and every single day when you wake up alive and well in the morning to start a new day, embrace a new dawn and leave the past where it belongs?

Maybe I’m just overly cynical but hey… someone’s got to be! I’m not begrudging anyone who feels the start of a new year is the start of a new beginning. Each one to himself, I reckon. I just get saturated when on 17th January the Happy New Year messages are still doing the rounds. How come such enthusiasm isn’t shown to the fact that you get a chance to start life afresh daily?
