Please give a small bio of yourself.
I wear many hats – that of a public figure, where I am purposeful in how I act and react as I know I am constantly being watched and scrutinized because of my achievements. I am a mother – where I am also purposeful but extremely honest, I need to teach my kids what life is all about, and ensure that they are raised with learning to respect themselves first. I am a daughter – where I am intentional, my mother had a stroke and on the day that she did – I lost a huge chunk of her that I miss daily, and now I am learning to fall in love with someone new – building a brand new mother/daughter relationship. I am a wife – where I am intentional, with my energy, I give mostly to the man I love – my husband, who is a different religion than I, who is younger than I. I do not bring this up because I care, but because it bothers so many people and I keep hearing about it.
I am lucky above everything else – despite the challenges I have faced, I feel the Universe and Source have always looked out for me. I see this in the way I am at my core, the friends that I have and the people I am surrounded by.
My age is 44
My profession is media content creator and public speaker. a purpose coach and a personal brand consultant. a mental health advocate and a UNHCR ambassador

How do you think people perceive you?
Your perception of me is a reflection of YOU!
What do you think about when youโre alone in your car?
Now-a-days it’s about how little traffic there is and what a joy it is to drive around on these empty roads.
Tell us something we donโt know.
About me? I talk to trees.
About the world? We are always living an unexpected life – we are not in control.
How many friendships have you ruined because you refused to play a game of Monopoly
mercifully?
mercifully?
Goodness, I have not played a board game in the longest time! I think the last game I played was with my mum and it was backgammon. Thinking back, I am not a sore loser, but I do sulk if I don’t get my way. I throw myself a pity party and then move on.
How long does it take you to scroll through Instagram before you eventually give up?
I go down 4/5 posts, but I keep going back. IG is a big part of the work that I do right now but I like who I follow so it is great to get good energy from social media.
What do you think cats dream about?
How they will take over the world, with the pandemic happening, they think that they have got some success although I think they are a bit pissed the humans are sitting at home with them. Their next strategy maybe how to get less time with humans.
If you were a Disney/ mythological character, who would you choose to be?
The Egyptian Goddess Isis. I was always fascinated by ancient Egypt and ancient Greece. The stories about the god and goddesses are great to listen to and read about. Isis was always known for her magic and she was known to protect women and children.
Youโve got to give one up:
Coffee
Cheese
Why would you not give up the other?
Coffee
Cheese
Why would you not give up the other?
So last year I gave up dairy, which means I cannot even have cheese as an option. I really miss it.
Coffee looks like it is on its way out too, my body doesn’t seem to be able to take it anymore.
My vice right now is caramel popcorn… all of these are easy to give up though.
What do you think is completely overrated in this world?
Influencers. Everyone is an influencer.
What series are you watching currently and would you recommend it to others?
Never Have I Ever on Netflix. It is produced by an Asian actress – Mindy Kailing and it features people who look like me in it – Indians. It is funny and light.
If you have no financial restrictions at all, what would be the one thing you would buy for
yourself?
yourself?
Any of the following;
Bugatti Chiron
An Isalnd
Amazon
Kris Jenner
Do you ever compliment yourself? Do you acknowledge your success or the good job that youโre
doing?
doing?
Always. I teach my kids to do the same. I wasn’t always like this. Sometimes my self-talk is a bit critical, but I hone her in and remind her to be kind.
Who applauds your success the most?
Success is relative. It has many definitions. The person who needs to applaud any achievements is yourself for yourself… even if the achievement is getting out of bed that morning, which, in a world of mental health issues, can be a big deal, the thing is the only person who would understand that it was a huge achievement or success would be you. Always, always clap for yourself, even Snoop Dogg said so.
Five worldly possessions you cannot live without.
My mum taught me one thing – everything material is transient. I can live without stuff.
Whatโs your favourite holiday destination that youโll go to again and again?
Now with travel restrictions, I want to go everywhere! I love to travel. I have had the opportunity to traverse the globe and am grateful for it. My aim is to show my children the world too. But to be honest, put me on a beach, slather me in sunblock and put a prosecco in my hand and leave me alone and I am happy!
Whatโs your honest opinion on family Whatsapp groups?
I am too honest to be on any.
Lastly, youโve been gifted an elephant. You canโt give it away or sell it. What would you do with it?
Put it in a room and make jokes about how we cannot discuss it!
