These are easy to make with minimal fuss. I used a packet of chicken sausages and I squeezed out the meat from the casing. I’m having a hard time finding sausage meat so I compromised.
Overall, easy to make and very delicious. We had these for lunch with soup and salad. It’s very filling.
Ingredients:
1 packet chicken sausages (8pcs)
1 packet Piccadeli pastry squares
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
1/2 cup finely chopped red pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped yellow pepper
Finely chopped coriander, to taste
2 finely chopped green chillies
(I love how everything is finely chopped)
Method:
Heat oven at 200 degrees Centigrade.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl with a spatula.
Take a pastry square and spread mixture generously on the square then roll it up.
There are nine squares in a pack so divide mixture equally.
Place on baking tray, reasonable spread out.
Put some cuts on top of the roll with a knife.
Brush rolls with a beaten egg or some milk.
Place on the middle shelf of the oven and allow to bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve hot with a salad.
